I am a very reluctant blogger on the unrest in Tunisia and Algeria. Despite my reluctance, I am compelled to assemble as much information here about the current conditions in the Maghreb because I love this corner of the world, and I sincerely hope that America will live up to its promise to stand alongside people striving for freedom around the world.
In the coming days, I will add a timeline of events as they have transpired since mid-December, and a brief political history of Tunisia in order to contextualize what is happening, and why America ought to care.
